Ashley Holland’s path to winemaking was anything but predictable. Raised in rural Oklahoma with dreams of becoming an equine veterinarian, she spent her early years riding horses and studying animal science. But a single elective course, “International Beverage Education,” shifted her career entirely. She quickly fell in love with wine, realizing that the scientific foundation she’d built in animal studies could be applied to something equally complex, but far more expressive and personal. 

From that moment, Ashley was hooked, and her journey has taken her from California and Oregon to the Southern Hemisphere’s wine-rich corners of Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay. But it was Northern California, with its unique microclimates, coastal influence, and deep-rooted winemaking culture, that truly felt like home.

Today, Ashley continues her journey as the Winemaker for Adonna Wines, bringing her global experience and love for California’s coastal terroir to every bottle she touches.
