ESTATE GROWN

CANFIELD
VINEYARD

Nineteen acres of multi-generational farmland houses Canfield Vineyard’s five unique blocks — each cultivating carefully selected clones — for our distinct estate-grown vintages.

Ample coastal fog sustains cooler temperatures for a prolonged growing season while the afternoon sun pushes speckled sunlight through the green leaf canopies. Condensed flavors from small berry clusters allow for peak ripeness, and come early autumn, clusters are gently handpicked under the light of the moon for our signature Pinot Noir.

The coolest climate site in Russian River Valley, our Sonoma County Canfield Vineyard estate-grown vintages express the nuances of this rare land plot. With exceptional care tending the land blanketed with “moon dust” Goldridge soil, our estate Pinot Noir benefits from specific clonal selections as we late-season harvest super-concentrated full cluster fruit. It is a wine made with intentional farming and winemaking practices that can be enjoyed on release and will continue to increase in complexity and nuance as it ages.

2023 Pinot Noir
$0.00

AVA: Russian River Valley
Vineyard: Eden Vineyard
Region: Sonoma County

Our award winning 2023 Pinot Noir from Eden Vineyard in the Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma Coast is Adonna’s inaugural vintage. This two acre vineyard is carefully tended by renowned grower, Scott Zeller, who has obtained notoriety for growing some of the finest Pinot Noir in Sonoma County. Only 125 cases were made.

Harvest Notes

The 2023 growing season for Pinot Noir in West Sonoma County and the broader Sonoma Coast was characterized by a historically long, cool ripening cycle following significant winter rainfall. Record-breaking precipitation replenished soils after years of drought, followed by mild summer temperatures that delayed all aspects of vine development. Fruit was gently harvested by the light of the moon to retain freshness on October 2, 2023.

Our debut vintage is a vivid ruby red wine with complex aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, pink peppercorns and warm spice. Hints of vanilla, cedar and dried tobacco leaf linger along with sensations of forest floor after newly fallen rain. On the palate, dark fruit with a hint of strawberry and medium body with fine, silky tannins create a lingering finish.

2024 White Pinot Noir
$0.00

AVA: Russian River Valley
Vineyard: Canfield Estate
Region: Sonoma County

Our 2024 Estate White Pinot Noir from Canfield Vineyard in the Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma Coast is Adonna’s inaugural Estate vintage. White Pinot Noir is a white wine made from the red-skinned Pinot Noir grape. This unique and rare wine style requires specialized winemaking processes to keep the juice clear. Only 40 cases were produced.

Harvest Notes

The 2024 growing season for Pinot Noir in West Sonoma County and the broader Sonoma Coast was characterized by a cool spring with rainfall stretching into May, followed by a warm summer and periodic spikes in daytime temperatures. The nighttime temperatures were cool, which helped maintain high acidity, contributing to the overall excellence of the harvest. Fruit was gently picked by hand on August 31, 2024.

This delicate expression of our vineyard has a golden hue with vibrant aromas of citrus marmalade, ripe pear, and key lime pie. The palate is bright and supple, layering juicy pear and Meyer lemon with lively mouthwatering acidity. A subtle creamy note adds roundness while the finish is clean and refreshing. On the palate, Adonna White Pinot Noir tends to have more body and a richer mouthfeel than other white wines.
